REQUIRED ITEMS FOR THE MATAR PANEER RECIPE

  • Cub cut Paneer ( 250 grams )
  • Sunflower Oil ( 2 to 6 tablespoons)
  • Warm water ( 2 cups )
  • Coriander seeds ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Cinnamon stick ( 1 piece )
  • Dried Red chilly ( 2 to 3 pieces )
  • Garlic ( 5 to 6 pieces )
  • Cloves ( 5 to 6 pieces )
  • Ginger ( 1 piece )
  • Chopped Onion ( 2 pieces )
  • Chopped Tomatoes ( 3 to 4 pieces )
  • Salt ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Water
  • Cumin seeds ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Kashmiri Red chilly powder ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Coriander powder ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Turmeric powder ( 1/4 tablespoon )
  • Cumin powder ( 1/2 tablespoon )
  • Gram flour ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Fenugreek leaf ( 1 tablespoon )
  • Frozen peas ( 1 cup )
  • Soaked paneer ( 4 pieces )
  • Garam masala ( 1/2 tablespoon )
  • Fresh coriander leaf ( 3 to 5 pieces )

PROCESS OF MAKING MATAR PANEER RECIPE

  • On a medium flame firstly take a medium-sized pan and add Sunflower Oil ( 2 to 4 tablespoons), cub Paneer ( 250 grams ) and shallow fry Paneer cubes once they turn golden brown coat colour. Transfer the Cub cut Paneer ( 250 grams ) from the pan to a moderately warm water bowl this process helps the paneer to turn soft and now keep this aside.

                     

  • In the same above pan add Coriander seeds ( 1 tablespoon ), Cinnamon stick ( 1 piece ), and Dried Red chilly ( 2 to 3 pieces ) and start frying on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes then add Garlic ( 5 to 6 pieces ), Cloves ( 5 to 6 pieces ), Ginger ( 1 piece ) fry these one more time. Now add Chopped Onion ( 2 pieces ) and chopped Tomatoes ( 3 to 4 pieces ) and start cooking for 3 to 6 minutes on a medium-high flame.

                   

  • The tomatoes and onions are cooked well after this add  Salt ( 1 tablespoon ) and water ( 1/2 glass ) and mix it up nicely. Cover the pan with a lid and cook the whole thing on low-medium flame for 6 to 7 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame let’s cool down the the mixture for a while then transfer the mixture into a blender. Blend it nicely for 4 to 6 minutes so perfect gravy can be prepared.

       

  • Once base gravy is ready keep that aside. Take a medium-sized pan put flame medium and add Sunflower Oil ( 2 to 4 tablespoons), Cumin seeds ( 1 tablespoon ), Kashmiri Red chilly powder ( 1 tablespoon ), Coriander powder ( 1 tablespoon ), Turmeric powder ( 1/4 tablespoon ), Gram flour ( 1 tablespoon) Cumin powder ( 1/2 tablespoon ) and Base gravy cook for 3 to 5 minutes then add Water ( 1.5 cups ) give good mix.

  • Cover the above pan with a lid and cook for 6 to 7 minutes once it is done cooking gravy starts leaving Oil over the surface. Finally, we add Fenugreek leaf ( 1 tablespoon ), Frozen peas ( 1 cup ), Soaked paneer ( 4 pieces ) and Garam masala ( 1/2 tablespoon ) start mixing it well and leave this mixture to cook for 8 to 10 minutes by covering a lid over a pan. The flame must be over low- medium.

           

  • For a better look we are going to add Fresh coriander leaf ( 3 to 5 pieces ) and here it is our mater paneer gravy recipe is ready.

PRECAUTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS WHILE COOKING THE MATAR PANEER GRAVY RECIPE
  • Make sure all ingredients we are using must be fresh.
  • Keep in mind that all paneer must be cut in medium size.
  • Please take care using the different flam (high- medium ) at different levels for better results.
  • To bring more richness to the Paneer gravy recipe add Cashews or Watermelon seeds.
  • We can use Ghee or Butter instead of sunflower Oil for frying ingredients.
  • We can use fresh peas instead of frozen peas but fresh peas need to cook in the water for 10 minutes.
  • Paneer can be used as per our requirement.
  • Serve it hot for a better experience of the matar paneer recipe.
