GRAM FLOUR LADOO RECIPE 2023 | BASAN LADOO RECIPE

REQUIRED ITEMS GRAM FLOUR LADOO RECIPE 

  • Gram flour ( 1.5 cups )
  • Wheat flour ( 1 cup )
  • Semolina ( 1/2 cup )
  • Milk ( 3 tablespoons )
  • Clarified cream ( 2 cups )
  • Turmeric powder (optional ) ( 1/4 tablespoon )
  •  Rock sugar powder ( 1 cup )
  • Cardamom powder ( 1/2 tablespoon ) (optional )
  • Finely chopped Ground nut ( 10 to 20 pieces )
  • Watermelon seeds ( 10 to 15 )
  • Coconut powder ( 1 cup )

PROCESS OF MAKING GRAM FLOUR LADOO RECIPE 

  • At First take a  medium-sized bowl and add Gram flour ( 1.5 cups ), Wheat flour ( 1 cup ) and Semolina ( 1/2 cup ) start mixing everything using hands. Then add Milk ( 3 tablespoons ) and clarified cream ( 2 tablespoons ) to the mixture, mix & rub well to make the dough grainy. It will help sweets not to become plain and sticky and continue this process for 3 to 4 minutes.

               

  • Keep the above mixture for a resting period of 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, transfer it into a mixer jar and blend it on pulse mode. Now mixture has become a wonderful, grainy texture. If we follow all the steps properly, we can perfect sweets for sure.

  • Next in a pan, add Clarified cream ( 1/2 cup ) and gram flour mixture ( previously prepared ) and start roasting it on a low flame. Initially, we may feel that the mixture is dry but Gram flour absorbs Clarified cream quickly and releases it back too as it gets roasted. So avoid adding too much clarified cream initially. As the roasting process goes on the Gram flour mixture starts getting darker in colour and keeps roasting as flour texture also starts changing.

  • As the roasting of the flour mixture comes to its final stage our flour starts to come together and we can see the Clarified cream on the surface of the flour. Roast for some more time to avoid complaining to me about finding it hard to swallow as it may not have cooked well. Once more roast it for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame as the mixture starts to show a golden brown colour, it indicates that the mixture has roasted completely.

  • Now add a pinch of Turmeric powder ( optional ) ( 1/4 tablespoon ) to the above mixture and mix it up well again   As we observe the mixture will start to release a good aroma, Which means the mixture is super cool ready.
  • Transfer the mixture from the pan to a large-sized plate and start spreading it as it cools down add Rock sugar powder ( 1 cup ) and mix it up well now. Once done mixing now add Cardamom powder ( 1/2 tablespoon ) and mix again and again. Leave this mixture in a resting period for 5 to 10 minutes.

         

  • We need now start making these round-shaped Gram flour LADOOS. Take some mixture in your hands and roll them between your palms gently make around-shaped Gram flour LADOOS as shown in the below picture.

  • If we wish we can add Finely chopped Ground nut ( 10 to 20 pieces ) and Watermelon seeds ( 10 to 15 ) to this Gram flour mixture for a crunchiness feeling.
  • Using the same process we can prepare other Gram flour sweets too so our Gram flour sweets recipes are ready. We coat the Gram flour LADOOES with Coconut powder ( 1 cup ) for a little more test.

  • Our sweets are ready to eat and serve to our loved ones.

PRECAUTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS WHILE MAKING GRAM FLOUR LADOO RECIPE
  • We can use only Gram flour instead of using Gram flour and Wheat flour mixture for this Gram flour ladoo recipe.
  • Follow every point carefully for better results.
  • We can use extra Clarified cream for binding sweets together.
  • Keep the flame low while roasting Gram flour in the pan.
  • Turmeric powder gives good colour to sweets.
  • Transfer the Gram flour mixture to a large size plate when it is roasted well to avoid the dish getting dark.
  • Avoid adding Rock sugar powder when the Gram flour mixture is hot this will cause a problem shaping the Gram floor LUDOOES.
  • we can use Rock sugar powder Brown sugar powder or Regular sugar powder for sweetness purposes, all are good for health.
  • Cardamom powder is the optional purpose as it gives flavour to the dish and we can prepare without using this ingredient.
